Live Engineer and Correction-in-a-pedal
VoiceTone Correct combines studio compression, tone shaping and de-essing with selectable pitch correction so you can deliver your best vocal performances. Have you ever noticed how as a singer, you seldom have control of the sound system and no sound engineer to help you get a great live vocal sound? Correct acts like an audio engineer does by reacting to your vocal sound and applying studio dynamics and EQ to bring out your best tone.
Now you can put a recorded gloss on your live singing without the setup and adjustment of complex equipment normally required to achieve “that sound”. An incredible amount of live sound research was undertaken in designing Correct so that you can trust it as your personal, capable and reliable sound engineer.
Real-time Tuning Guide with Pitch Correction
The auto-chromatic pitch correction helps you sing more in tune, much like a metronome helps for playing in time. It's like singing with a singer who has perfect pitch. This lets you know when you're out of tune and you naturally decide to correct yourself, or not.
Auto Chromatic Pitch Correction
In the same way a metronome helps for playing in time or how singing along with a singer who has perfect pitch helps for singing in tune, the auto chromatic pitch correction in
VoiceTone Correct can improve your pitch performance.
Setting up for pitch correction has never been easier. The typical adjustments of key, scale and attack time aren’t present because the chromatic scale works for all western scale-based songs and the rest of the parameters are pre-set. Just set the Correct control to the center detente, press the footswitch and it’s done.
You can choose to send your pitch corrected voice to the house, in which case it will gently adjust your pitch for the audience, or you can send your corrected voice only to the monitors to be used as your guide. The two output jacks make these configurations possible.
Adaptive Shape Control Fits Your Voice
More than the typical multiband EQ found in your average mixer, the Adaptive Shape feature seeks to provide a pleasant balance between low and high frequencies for your voice.
Self-Adjusting Adaptive Compression
Setting up a typical compressor can be cumbersome and time consuming. Setting Correct’s Adaptive Compression feature to the default positions allow it to analyse your performance and provide gentle-on-the-ears compression wherever you sing on your mic.
De-Ess Smoothes Sibilance
You probably didn’t think you needed this feature, but when you brighten up and compress your voice, S sounds typically jump out. At loud performance volumes, this can lead to discomfort for your audience. Correct’s De-Ess feature reduces the volume of only sibilant sounds while retaining the pleasant brightness on the rest of your singing.
